Tana studied classical drawing under Nerina Simi in Florence in the 1970s and in London at the City and Guilds School. She was made an honorary member of the South London Artists, and has exhibited in Camberwell and at the Mall Galleries and, more recently, at the Woodhay Gallery in Newbury, as well as at venues in Wiltshire and Germany. She works mainly in oils and charcoal and is particularly drawn to subjects with a human interest and to scenes from her travels abroad.
